Eva Amurri shares her favorite winter skin quenchers

This blog post was originally published on January 13th, 2021.

I’m one of those people who gets insanely dry skin in the Wintertime. My body, hands, feet, and lips get it the worst—but the face on my skin gets parched as well, especially if I’m not really taking care of it. It can cause my skin to flake, look dull, and even irritated.

I’ve been so into skincare lately, especially since being home most of the time and not having a ton of use for makeup. It’s been nice to indulge in some self-care spa days in my own bathroom, and now that Winter is in full swing, I’ve been adding some specific products back into my routine to combat the dryness.

Today I thought I would share some of my favorite Winter Skin Quenchers with you all! Also, here’s a reminder that some of my favorite products to help your skincare penetrate more deeply are this facial steamer, and the Essia Ultrasonic Wand. Both are super popular and sold out, but you can add yourself to the waitlist now and snag one!

Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm

$66

This cleanser is the balm dot com! LOL. But really, it’s a cult favorite product for a reason and I am a convert! I love removing my makeup with this, as it melts beautifully into the skin and really gets everything off without stripping my skin’s natural moisture barrier. It’s the way to go if your skin feels dry and you’re looking to really pamper your skin!

Drunk Elephant F-Balm Electrolyte Water Facial

$52

I love using this mask once a week in the colder months. It’s so hydrating and calming, and doesn’t make me break out!

Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil

$74

This ultra-hydrating face oil uses squalane to lock in moisture and vitamin c to visibly firm and brighten your complexion. It’s an instant glow in a jar!

Youthbomb Biologic Collagen Peptide Cream

$175

I love this moisturizer – it makes my skin look healthier, plumper, brighter, dewier, and younger.

Nails Inc Thirsty Hands + Thirsty Feet

$4.99

My hands and feet get embarrassingly dry in the Winter. Like WHOA. Now, using hand sanitizer every day and washing my hands constantly, my little paws are in rough shape. I love these masks to put on while I’m binge-watching Netflix. I love how it hydrates in a way that really lasts. It’s pampering with a totally affordable price tag!

Weleda Skin Food Original Ultra-Rich Cream

$13.53

This is the BEST hand cream, in my humble opinion. It’s actually an all-over moisturizer (I’ve heard Victoria Beckham uses it on her face), but I only use it on my hands. I keep one next to the bed and one in my purse. This stuff is legit! And all-natural, for extra brownie points!

iS Clinical Youth Body Serum

$120

I’ve been LOVING this body serum. It’s so hydrating and has a great, fresh scent. It says that you can use it as its own moisturizer (and I probably will in the summer months) but for now I’ve been using this as the first of a two-step process. Serum first, with a thick body cream on over it. Since using this, I’ve definitely noticed a difference in skin firmness and my body retaining moisture better.

Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Fragrance-Free Moisturizing Cream

$9.99

This amazing skin quencher is my favorite drugstore pick in the winter months! It works so well and absorbs quickly.

Drunk Elephant Sweet Biome™ Fermented Sake Hydrating Spray

$42

This is my go-to spray for an extra level of hydration in the winter! It’s so protective for the skin barrier and helps keep my skin supple and glowing.

Mutha Body Oil

$104

If you’re more of a body oil person, I got addicted to this Mutha body oil while pregnant with Mateo and still LOVE it. It’s packed with 100% botanical seed oils and essential vitamins and gives my skin the prettiest glow.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

$24

So this says it’s for before bed, but I honestly lather it on a few times a day. I LOVE it so much. It’s by far my favorite lip balm I’ve tried, and one tub lasts a long time. The vanilla is my favorite, but there are tons of great flavors!

I use Weleda on my face in the winter! I use it as a night cream and it makes my skin so soft.

    • Oh good to know! I also heard from somebody that there’s a “light” version that some people use for face too. But I’ve never seen that one!

You got me onto the lubriderm lotion awhile back and it’s SO good and it’s dirt cheap. Win win!
