I have a new Home Office that I set up recently, and I’ve been loving it! As much as I love the Happily Eva After Studio, it had become a little empty over the past 12 months. Our entire team works from home, and going to the office and working in that big space all by myself was a little depressing. I’ve been getting a lot of writing done at night recently as well, and I ended up mostly working in my bedroom. I had a studio I wasn’t using, and a weird work/life situation where my space for working infringed on my space for sleeping. I was in dire need of a solution.
First up, renting the studio! I decided to rent it out to somebody else for the time being, and it ended up being a great decision. Once that was done, I knew I needed a space besides my bedroom to work in. I did an addition on my home when I was renovating, and created a gym space that had been mostly empty besides my MYXfitness bike, some yoga mats, and weights….oh, and a bouncy castle for the kids. I decided to make an office space in one area of that room.
I really wanted a space that felt fun, elevated, and that didn’t break the bank. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. My favorite part is the palm decal mural behind my branding. It was a really fun project and looks even prettier in person. It’s so nice to have a space to work, and then to leave the work there—instead of having brand materials and contracts strewn all over my bed. I feel like I get so much more done now!
