the Happily Eva After Studio

The New Happily Eva After Studio Headquarters is official complete, and it makes me emotional sharing it today! It’s been a long four years, with a really steep learning curve– and I’m so proud of where my company is today! The HEA Studio went from being located literally in my lap (with a MacBook Air) to its own building with a kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom.  I couldn’t be prouder.  This studio represents the design aesthetic of my brand so well, and of my soul as well! It has all the colors, whimsy, and femininity of what I love to be surrounded by daily– it’s basically me as a house. LOL.  I’m so excited to take you on a tour today!

When working with Prudence on the design for this space, I was adamant that we keep everything within the color story of the Happily Eva After branded color palette.  No matter what patterns or textures we introduced, they would all feel cohesive and branded– and I love how this thought process came together!

In terms of functionality, I have my office– and we have two employee desks in the communal working space.  We also have a dining room table and chairs right in the center, where we have team meetings, and host events.  The sitting area is perfect for entertaining, and having little internal pow-wows.  When I need a change of pace, I like to write upstairs in the bedroom! It has beautiful light and gives me a little separation from the hubbub in the office.  And the bathroom! I’m actually IN LOVE with the scarab wallpaper.  I wish I had used it in a bigger space, I can’t get enough! Get ready for lots of bright, fresh content coming to you from the HEA studio, and stay tuned for more branded events and shoots in here as we expand our events arm of the company!

All the items in your new studio are absolutely beautiful!I admire the way you combine in the same space (as in Marlowe’s room and the playroom) the sades of blue and pink ranging from pastels to neon and the way you mix them with yellow, orange, green and brass furniture. It must be really inspiring to work in such environment.I also like so much the picture on the wall, it is from Gray Malin, right? I adore the work of this artist.

Would love to know where that blue and yellow lamp shade is from! Love it.

    • The lamp itself is vintage (I painted the base black high gloss), and the lamp shade is Anthropologie but from about nine years ago!

Your studio is amazing. Is this on your property or did you find a spot in town with this structure?!

Wow, snarky response. Her brand is her “lifestyle blog”. Since she’s an incorporated business she needs a whole studio to create blog and Instagram content…

Well, I know didn’t blogs were brands, and that bloggers create companies out of them. . No snark intended, as I said, just curious.

I’m trying to learn more about & understand Instagram & blogging. I was curious if that’s what you mean by your company, or if you have another business.

I LOVEEEEEEEE this space! wow!! I almost see “you” through this more than even your house! its gorgeous!

    My questions are:
is the studio attached to your house? did it come with your house?
if not, how did you find the space for this?
do you rent or own it? 🙂
    AMAZING Job!

    • Thanks!
So the studio is not a part of our house! It is on the same property but technically a different address and we bought it at the same time as our house. We did a major renovation (as you can see) but did not build it from scratch. Since I incorporated my business, Kyle and I now “rent” the building to my company.
