If you’ve been following along for a while, you know I firmly believe jewelry is the ultimate outfit elevator. I have nine ear piercings (yes, nine!), and I love nothing more than curating the perfect combo in my ears, layering necklaces, and building what I call a “ring roster”: an everyday lineup of rings that stays on my fingers for weeks at a time. Gold is my metal of choice, and I’m a big fan of mixing high and low, pairing investment pieces with affordable finds that punch way above their price point. For me, the magic is in the mix. There’s something about a perfectly layered stack that makes even a white tee and jeans feel intentional and polished, and I’ve been getting so many questions about my everyday pieces that I figured it was time to round them all up once and for all.

I came by the jewelry obsession by osmosis. Growing up, my mom always wore a ton of jewelry, and every single piece told a story: where she got it, who gave it to her, what it reminded her of. My Nonna was the same way. Their collections weren’t just accessories; they were like a living scrapbook on their hands and necks and ears. I’ve adopted that same practice in my own life, and now my everyday stack is full of sentimental meaning. I wear pieces personalized with my kids’ initials or names, a trio of hearts that they actually drew out and were turned into gold, and a few heirloom items that make me feel connected to the women who came before me. Mixed right in with all of that nostalgia are more fun and unusual pieces that ground the whole look and keep it feeling current rather than costumey. I love timeless style with a twist!

Here’s what I’ve learned after years of trial and error: the key to a great everyday jewelry lineup is finding pieces you genuinely never want to take off. That means quality matters (nobody wants a green finger or a necklace that tangles into a knot overnight), but it doesn’t mean everything has to break the bank. Some of my most-worn rings are under fifty dollars, and they sit right next to pieces I saved up for. The trick is to build in layers: start with a base of wear-forever staples, then add in your statement and sentimental pieces on top. In my ears, I keep a mix of tiny huggies, a few unique studs, and then mix in different earrings in my main holes (MAIN HOLES! LOL) that bring a little drama. Around my neck, I’m almost always wearing at least two or three chains at different lengths because, to be honest, one necklace feels naked to me at this point.
