Eva Amurri shares her Bunny Spinach Dip

I love to entertain, and I especially love entertaining around the holidays! There’s something so fabulous about gathering with friends and family to make memories during those special times of year. Some of my best memories growing up are when our home was filled with people celebrating Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, or The New Year. My Mom would always go all out and make the whole scene feel so festive! I know a lot of people have their tradition of making a bunny cake at Easter. Funnily enough, we never ever made bunny cakes growing up! We usually had pies to go alongside our Easter dinner. I love the idea of a cute bunny on the table, though! This year I decided to go with the bunny theme to transform our appetizer table instead. Check out the yummiest, cheesiest, easiest Bunny Spinach Dip! This spinach dip recipe is delicious year-round. You can definitely make that part again and again if you’re entertaining. But we decided to wrap it with this cute bunny shape for the holiday, and I absolutely love how it becomes a little pull-apart roll situation. Taking those warm rolls and dipping them in the dip was just SO tasty. Highly recommend! Plus, it looks pretty cute too.

I wanted to point out if you’re making this for entertaining purposes that you can NOT transfer it once it’s made. So, either pick a sheet pan you’re good with displaying or fill the area around the bunny with parsley or other herbs to make it look prettier on your table!

Bunny Spinach Dip

Step 1:

Preheat the Oven and Start Making the Dip

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Place spinach, cream cheese, and garlic in a skillet over medium heat. Heat and stir for 3-4 minutes until the cream cheese is melted.

Step 2:

Stir in Remaining Ingredients for Dip

Stir in mayonnaise, seasonings, parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Cook until it is hot and melty, then reduce heat to low.

Step 3:

Roll, Cut and Shape Crescent Rolls

Open one tube of crescent rolls but do not unroll the dough. Roll and stretch the dough until you have a “rope” of dough about 18 inches long. Cut into 12 equal pieces and repeat with the other tube. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and make a bunny shape with the dough pieces.

Step 4:

Add Dip and Bake

Scoop the hot spinach dip into the center of the body circle, adding some dip to the ears if desired. Top dip with the remaining mozzarella cheese and make for about 18 minutes until crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through. Enjoy!

Stop it. This is the cutest thing I have seen. Not a huge fan of spinach dip but I have to do this for my kids. I think I will just put some cheeses in the middle to melt to use as our dip but this is fab. Also the idea of putting herbs or filler around the sheet pan is genius.
