I’ve had two work babies born in the last couple of years. Both have been really interesting new journeys for the Happily Eva After brand, ventures that have been years in the making. And, for the first time, these two new babies got to meet in the same place and collide! I’m talking about the HEA for BenchMade Modern ad campaign at The Westport Project house!

I launched my furniture line with BenchMade two summers ago. Creating heirloom furniture with custom upholstery that actually stands up to the real chaos of REAL family life has been an absolute bucket list experience for me. The Happily Eva After collection quickly became a bestseller for BenchMade, and has won numerous industry awards that I’m SO excited about and proud of! There’s no greater feeling than knowing there are families spending time in and around your pieces every day, and that customers are truly HAPPY.

18 months ago, I also started on The Westport Project journey– documenting the building of a net-zero Smart Home at the beach in Westport, CT.  I didn’t know anything about construction, but I knew about storytelling– I’ve been doing it my whole life. Putting together our docuseries and keeping it alive through more than a year of filming was an undertaking that was both insanely challenging and deeply rewarding. We aired our series finale last week, and I’d be lying if I said there weren’t a few tears shed watching that last episode. It’s so rewarding to look back on all the chapters of the experience and compare them to where we are now!

The Westport Project home is currently on the market, but it turned out so gorgeous that I knew we had to shoot our Fall campaign for HEA x BenchMade in the house while we still had the chance! We focused on pieces from my collection, along with some other absolutely stunning furniture and accent pieces from other BenchMade collections. We styled and shot in 3 rooms of the home: The Waterfront Room (an entertaining sanctuary), The Family Room (a cozy and elevated space beside the kitchen), and the Primary Bedroom (a bright and elegant space with insane water views).

I love how the photos turned out, but I also want to share the fabrics and specifics of what we shot and picked for this space– because I think it starts as a beautiful jumping-off point for people who want to explore the collection further. Our shoot also guest-starred many of my friends’ dogs! An element of my collection for BenchMade that I absolutely love is that the fabrics are pet-friendly.  They clean easily, and really last.  As the top choice for people who love their pooches, it was so fun to include them in these photos! I’ll link each piece in the images below, and feel free to reach out to me if you want any help choosing a fabric for your Eva pieces! I know them intimately at this point….Ha!

WATERFRONT ROOM

The Eva Small Modular Sectional, Asher Sky Fabric

The Eva Chair, Charles Linen Fabric

This room is the first room guests encounter when entering the home, and it has the most gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows facing the water that open up completely for a true indoor/outdoor experience. Since The Westport Project house is a beach house at heart, we knew we wanted to give this room a beachy vibe, while still being elevated enough to entertain. For the Eva Sectional, we picked the Asher Sky fabric. I love the gorgeous light blue colors with just enough texture to make it interesting! For the Eva Chair, we made it in the Charles Linen fabric. I love how creamy it is. I’m actually making one in this exact creamy, dreamy fabric for our Primary bedroom at home. I was inspired by sitting on it for these photos! A reminder that whenever a BenchMade sale is going on for my collection, you can always order to take advantage of the sale, and pick “select fabric later” at checkout so you can still get the deal, but not be rushed on fabric choice!  I truly love how this is an option. We want you to really feel like you selected the exact fabric of your dreams!

FAMILY ROOM

The Eva Modular Sofa, Pollack Milestone Grain

I wanted this room to feel cozy, textured, and elegant– especially because it backs up to the most gorgeous and chic kitchen I have ever seen IRL! The fireplace in this room is such a showstopper, and I wanted to play off of those vibes with elements that would work for any season. The Eva Sofa is one of my favorite styles in my collection, because the curves of the base are the most visible, and the style works in truly any space. For this room, we picked one of the newer fabrics, Pollack Milestone Grain, that I had been dying to see utilized.  I gasped when the sample arrived! It’s even more beautiful in person.

PRIMARY BEDROOM

The Eva Bed, McGee Cream

The Eva Bench, Moore & Giles Adriatic

The primary bedroom of The Westport Project home is so special to me because the views with the corner picture window truly make you feel like you’re on top of the world. I wanted to keep it airy and light in here, with a focus on clean lines and comfy vibes! We also had to make sure that the Goodest Boy and Girl (Bootsie and Lucy, respectively) felt right at home, too! We chose the McGee Cream fabric! It was an easy choice in that it’s a warm neutral that is so versatile. I love that even though the Eva Bed is upholstered, the quality of the fabric is unmatched and will last through real family life! Yes, even with pets! Major has had an Eva Bed in his room for the last year, and his still looks brand new. I’m replacing our Primary bed with one as well this summer, and I can’t wait. The lines of it are so beautiful and elegant! Because our Eva Bench is a bestseller (she is perfect for literally ANY space you can think of), we wanted to try making one in our newest leather, this stunning Moore & Giles Adriatic. The blue is the creamiest, dreamiest tone that reminds me of the ocean. I’m actually dying to see somebody make a chair out of this leather! It would be perfect.

We not only shot our images for the print campaigns, but we may or may not have shot our very first HEA x BenchMade TV commercial! Stay tuned for that, of course. I cannot wait to see this beautiful home and the furniture collection I’m so proud of, immortalized forever on film. This was such a special and meaningful experience for me as a creative and business owner. Let me know which room design you liked the most!
