Eva Amurri shares her Pretzel Flower Bite recipe

The last month or so of school always leaves my head and calendar reeling. There are so many things to keep track of and remember– big and small. End of year performances and parties, field days, concerts, Spirit Weeks, and gift-giving. It’s enough to send you into a tailspin, especially if you have more than one child to do it all for!

Because life can get so hectic, I like to find kids’ activities this time of year that can double as nice little gifts! It’s great to be able to make something special with my kids for them to hand out to friends or teachers as a little end-of-year parting gift from them specifically. These pretzel flower bites are SO easy to make, totally adorable….and addictively delicious. I chose pastel colors for spring, but you can make these with any color M&Ms that you like. I like to mix these flower bites up with my popcorn when Ian and I have a movie night at home. I’m such a Salty/Sweet mix gal! I hope you love these as much as we do!

Pretzel Flower Bites

Step 1:

Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan and Pretzels

Preheat your oven to 250°. Line a cookie sheet pan with parchment paper. Place the desired amount of pretzels on the parchment paper and then place one white chocolate meltable on each pretzel.

Step 2:

Heat and Add M&M's

Place cookie sheet in the oven for three minutes or until the white chocolate softens. Remove from the oven and start placing M&M’s on the white chocolate immediately.

Step 3:

Final Touches

My strategy was to pick a few colored M&M’s for the center of the flower and the leftover colors for the petals. While the pretzels were in the oven I sorted the colors that came in my bag to see which colors I had more of and less of to determine the centers and petals. Once all the flowers are put together, place them in the fridge to cool. Bring to room temperature before serving.
