Eva Amurri shares her current makeup favorites

I’ve been on a bit of a makeup journey recently. Anyone who is a longtime reader of this blog would know that I have ALWAYS been a makeup fan. I remember bringing Hard Candy lipsticks and nail polish to school in the 90’s and applying it during recess time with my friends in class. I was always the friend doing everyone’s makeup in college while we selected our “going out top” of the evening (IYKYK), and whenever I was on set acting I would pay extra attention to all of the little tricks and application tips that the professional makeup departments showed me. Generally speaking, I love learning new things and for me, makeup has been an educational journey and a really fun adventure. I absolutely love exploring how the right colors, textures, contours, highlights, and feelings can totally transform your face, or even just simply play up your best assets.

Now that I have a job where my face is photographed or filmed for my blog and social media daily, I’ve found myself diving deeper into what my actual favorite beauty products are. For me, that’s skincare of course, but it’s also makeup! I’ve gotten so skilled with this over the years that I decided I would even do my own makeup for my wedding. My job also gives me access to lots of amazing brands, and the opportunity to try out so many different things. I get asked about my makeup favorites all the time, and which products I find myself using the most. Today I thought I would answer by category! If you have even further questions about this, feel free to comment on this blog post and I’ll do my best to answer.

Brushes

Elite Oval 7

$80

These brushes are an investment, but I swear by them for my foundation.

Beauty Blender Set

$35

Beauty blenders are my fave for blending concealer and contour.

Foundation Blending Brush #100

$45

I also love this foundation brush and use it for both foundation AND cream bronzer or cream blushes.

Soft Triangle Makeup Puff

$5.94

I’m obsessed with these tear-shaped powder puffs for “baking” the concealer under my eyes, and being able to place setting powder with precision.

Liquid Blendercleanser®

$20

This is the best brush cleaner! I use it for my blending sponges and my brushes, about once a week.

Foundation

COMPLEXION RESCUE® Tinted Moisturizer

$39

This is my go-to tinted moisturizer with SPF. It is very light coverage and looks so natural. It’s a gel texture, too, so it never makes me break out.

Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation

$40

This is such a great medium coverage and longwear foundation.

Woke Up Like This Flawless Base Foundation

$45

This full coverage is my favorite new find, and the top contender for my wedding day glam! I love how it is very full coverage but so lightweight, and their color array is incredible.

Translucent Loose Setting Powder

$47

I swear by this setting powder by Laura Mercier! It’s a light-catching version and finishes absolutely gorgeous. My shade is “Honey Star”.

Concealer

Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer

$30

For under-eye brightening, I have gotten on the Kosas bandwagon. It’s clean beauty and such a creamy and blendable texture.

F*ck I'm Flawless Multi-Use Perfecting Concealer

$31

I absolutely love the Il Makiage concealer for all-over use. It’s not my favorite for blemishes, but if you’re covering redness, circles, or contouring your face, this is SO good. It’s also oil-free so it doesn’t make me break out and lasts so long.

Spot Stick Concealer

$32

Hands down my favorite blemish concealer. It’s in stick form so it’s easy to apply, and it doesn’t move or slip around.

Blush/Bronzer

Match Stix Contour Skinstick

$32

First thing’s first! I love this contour stick so much. My color is Amber Suede. It’s easy to use and blends so well.

Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo

$36

This is my top choice for bronzer. It’s cream on one side and powder on the other. I sometimes use it on my eyelids, too!

Soft Pinch Liquid Blush

$23

LOOOOVE this liquid blush. A little goes a long way, and the colors are all so beautiful.

Cheek Tint

$28

I recently discovered Jillian Dempsey cheek tint and WOW. The color is super pigmented and they smell really good. Plus they’re so flat so they can easily be packed to go anywhere.

NARS Blush

$32

If you’re a powder blush Gal, then I recommend NARS! The color “Orgasm” is a cult favorite for a reason. I love the coral color with the subtlest of shimmers.

Highlight

Extra Dimension Skinfinish Highlighter

$42

For highlighter, my go-to is this MAC one. It’s incredibly flattering and photographs insanely well.

Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Highlight

$25

For a creamy finish, my fave is this one by Rare Beauty. I have all the colors and love them all equally.

Eyeshadow

Snap Shadows Mix & Match Eyeshadow Palette

$30

These palettes are a great size, and the shadows are of gorgeous quality and have a nice array of tones all in the same color family. I have their more neutral palettes, but I also love the more fun color combos! They can snap together to make larger palettes.

Lid Tint

$28

I’ve been using these lid tints a lot of a pretty wash of color that is foolproof.

Ultimate Color Shadow Palette Warm Neutrals

$20

This super affordable palette is great for everyday neutrals!

The Beautyverse Palette

$75

For fun pops of color, or more drama for nights out, I’m obsessed with these ultra-pigmented Charlotte Tilbury shadows.

Eyeliner

Satin Kohl Eye Pencil

$25

For pencil, I love this cult fave by Sweed. The Dusty Brown is my go-to for my lash line on top, then I’ll use the “Bright” color for my lower lash line to open the eye.

Black Card Liquid Eyeliner

$25

This is hands down the best waterproof liquid eyeliner!

Mascara

Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara

$29

This is my go-to mascara for lengthening and curling!

Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length Mascara

$11.99

This is my fave drugstore Mascara (I love a skinny wand).

Icon Mascara

$29

This is a new find that helps me both thicken and lengthen my lashes. Top contender for my wedding day!

Brows

HOLD UP! Brow Styling Wax In Clear

$22

I use this wax and people ask me if I got my brows laminated! A little goes a long way, and the tin lasts for so long. This is my holy grail makeup product these days!

Brow Definer 3-in-1 Triangle Tip Precision Eyebrow Pencil

$26

When I’m going for a more “done” makeup look, I love this brow definer pencil! It’s long-lasting. I use the Auburn one.

Lips

Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color

$29

For any kind of bold lip, this liquid lipstick is my TOP choice. It stays so beautifully, and the colors are absolutely gorgeous.

Collagen Lip Oil + (Nude Nectar)

$32

For an ultra-moisturizing lip with a hint of tint, I love this collagen lip gloss.

Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick

$42

This candy lip glazes are so amazing for a very moisturizing dose of color. I hate dry lips and this is the perfect balance of color and quench! Plus it has a very glossy finish.

Lip Liner

$16

Kylie Cosmetics makes the best lip liners, in my opinion!

Lip Blur Soft-Matte Hydrating Lipstick

$24

This hydrating lipstick is clean beauty, and comes in lovely colors. The bright red one is one of my go-to’s for a classic lip!
