Eva Amurri shares her mudroom reveal

When we first moved into our home, I was completely enamored with our new mudroom, because I knew it had so much potential to not only be an extremely functional space, but a gorgeous one, too! There is so much natural light, so much wall space, and a really cute little powder room. I wanted to take advantage of that with a wallpaper to really make a big impact. What’s more, the space had a built-in desk area that could either be used as a desk, or as a console with storage.

I looked through lots of wallpaper, and I just couldn’t find one that fit the criteria I was looking for: elegant, fun, and a pattern that works for all seasons. When I saw this olive branch paper, I absolutely fell in love. It’s so perfect! I may even end up painting the built-in storage section of the mudroom one day to complement the paper, but for now, I like the white. I’m trying to lean into the idea that home design can go in phases, and that you don’t need to do absolutely EVERYTHING all at once. It’s much more palatable that way!

I was also sooooo lucky to get on Stephanie’s calendar once again, from The Realistic Organizer, to help me with this space. I had never had a mudroom with so much storage before, and I wanted to seek professional help to make sure I was optimizing it! She and her team were so amazing at helping me edit everything down, and then find storage solutions that help everyone in my family keep their lives tidy. I’m obsessed with how stylish AND functional this space is now!

I’m putting credits below, but let me know if you have any specific questions!

I love this room so much! As a Canadian I’m sad that the lovely grey felt bins are from Target as I’d have to drive to the Target in New York to get them, haha. Anyway, so far I really love what you’ve done with your new house! The decor has been inspiring and it’s been neat to see a different side of your tastes–I feel like your new h0me is in many ways a departure from your former one :).
