We’re just days away from Christmas, and I’m so excited this year to make one of my favorite recipes of the season: Reindeer Food! My kids have loved making this together since they were literal toddlers, and with this probably being one of the last years that my oldest are believers, it’s hitting different!! One of the best parts is that you probably have oats, and even sprinkles or sparkles somewhere on hand. So it can be whipped up without a ton of prep. If you have a printer, take advantage of the free printable in the post as well! This makes an awesome neighborhood or classroom gift. Merry Christmas!

A Christmas-time craft that I always make with my kids around this time of year is Magical Reindeer Food! I was first introduced to reindeer food by my Sister In Law at the time, Lauren! She has twins a little older than Marlowe, and we were down in Charleston celebrating Christmas with them. On Christmas eve, she brought a little baggie over to our rental house of reindeer food. It had oats, confetti, and little sparkles in it, and she explained to Marlowe that we needed to go out into the front yard and sprinkle it so that Santa’s Reindeer could find our house and would land to eat their little snack! I thought it was the cutest tradition, and I’ve been making my own version ever since.
I always add some sprinkles to mine, too, because who doesn’t love sprinkles?! This year I thought it would be fun to share my family’s Reindeer Food recipe and to give you guys a printable as well! Just print out the label below to staple over the cellophane bags. These Magical Reindeer Food bags make fantastic gifts for friends and family members as we get close to Christmas Eve!
