This kitchen is what made us instantly fall in love with our new home. From the moment we walked into the huge, open space with the most welcoming blonde wood, and tall ceilings– and my dream creamy cabinets with gold hardware– I absolutely swooned. I could see us in this space, cooking, hosting, and spending time as a family. I could imagine the kids dancing around the huge floor space. I could just SEE us in this kitchen. Once we bought the house and moved in, my instinct was to keep it as close as possible to the state we found it in that made me instantly fall in love. I added some personal touches here and there, but my goal was to keep it fresh, bright, and welcoming.
Walking into this space every morning makes me so happy, and restores a sense of calm. I love the way the whole room fills up with early morning, and late afternoon light. I love how light and bright the countertops are. I may even end up painting the walls to match the creamy color of the cabinets, but I haven’t decided yet. I figure I’ll wait a couple of years, and live in the space, while I think on it a bit more. Stay tuned on that! All decor and design details are listed below. Hi Eva!
Congrats on your new home – it’s gorgeous! We are planning a kitchen renovation and have been looking for your exact style of cabinets – a modern edge to a classic style. Are you able to share your cabinetry source? We live in the same town 🙂
Thanks so much!!
I loved this blog post and your photos! What a stunning reveal. There’s nothing like freshening up my kitchen to kick off the new year. I love my new cabinet painting. Thanks for the inspiration I found from your website.
