As a Mom of 3 who also runs a business, I do not have time to get sick. Ever. I usually get sick a total of one time per year, and it’s always of the cold/flu type variety. Usually something I pick up from one of the kids. All things considered, I think this track record is pretty good! LOL. I used to get sick or feel under the weather a lot more. Once I became a Mom, it was so important to me to regularly boost my immune system to make sure that I was as strong as possible the majority of the time. I just don’t have the ability to stay in bed for days at a time now! Getting a strong supplement routine was a big part of that, but also gravitating towards foods and herbs that support a healthy immune system was a game-changer for me. Today, I thought I would share a little Wellness shot that I’ve created over the years that helps me boost my immune system and keep healthy! I normally make this if one of the kids comes down with something, or if I’m beginning to feel run down. I have one per day for a few days, or sometimes two a day if I feel like I need that extra wellness boost. It’s easy to create this in a good blender, but a juicer is even better if you have one. I can’t wait to hear what you think once you try it! It definitely can be an acquired taste because the ginger is super strong, but I find myself craving it now.

Step by Step...

Step 1:

Add Ingredients to Blender

Place peeled turmeric, peeled ginger, and squeezed lemon juice in a blender and blend until juice forms.

Step 2:

Add Water and Blend More

Add about a cup of water and blend for another minute.

Step 3:

Pour and Strain

Pour the mixture into a cup using a strainer so that it catches the leftover pieces and seeds

Step 4:

Enjoy!
