Owning an Air Fryer has become one of my personality traits at this point. That’s how much I love it! LOL. But seriously, it’s so convenient to have a countertop contraption that can do everything from baking and reheating, to frying and toasting! It’s amazing. I had heard a lot about making baked goods in an air fryer, and it sounded super appealing to me since there is minimal cleanup and you can be using your actual oven for other things. Come Fall, we tend to bring meal prep indoors and away from the grill, so we use our oven a lot more! Since Apple Picking season is in full swing, I decided to try out an Apple Crisp recipe in the air fryer…and I LOVE how it turned out!

If your family is swimming in apples this Fall for whatever reason (hey, I never judge!), then you need to try my Air Fryer Apple Crisp. These are the best little individual warm and fuzzy comfort food bombs, and make a statement when entertaining at home, too. I have served these to family members in town visiting because they look so professional! Meanwhile, they’re just super simple ramekins I got years ago from Crate & Barrel! My kids love these drizzled with caramel syrup and whipped cream, and I love that they’re technically eating fruit. I top mine with non-dairy whipped topping!

Let me know if you end up making these, and how you like them!

Air Fryer Apple Crisp

Step 1:

Preparation of equipment and apples

Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees and butter your small ramekins. Peel, core, and cut the apples into small cubes.

Step 2:

Combine ingredients of the base

Combine the apples with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon.

Step 3:

Add base ingredients to ramekins

Pour the base ingredient mixture into the dish. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Open up the air fryer and continue cooking for 5 more minutes uncovered.

Step 4:

Combine topping ingredients

To make the topping, combine the flour, sugar, salt, oatmeal, and cold butter in a mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer to mix (on low speed) until the mixture is crumbly and the butter is the size of peas.

Step 5:

Add topping and bake

Scatter the topping evenly over the apples. Place the crisp back in your air fryer uncovered for 5 more minutes.

Step 6:

Final toppings

Enjoy with some melted caramel syrup on top, whipped topping, or vanilla ice cream!
