Eva Amurri shares her favorite spring & summer décor.

As the seasons change, so does the vibe of our living spaces. As we get out of cozy mode as a family, I find myself wanting a little refresh that brings an energy back into our spaces that I’ve been craving all Winter long. Spring and Summer are the perfect times to refresh your home with light, airy, and whimsical décor that reflects the beauty of the outdoors– and the energy of the season! Here are some simple, stylish ways to upgrade your space for the warmer months ahead. See some of my favorite upgrades below, and make sure to click HERE for a full collection of decor pieces I love!

1. Swap Out Textiles

Switch heavy, wintery fabrics for lighter options. Think linen curtains, cotton throw blankets, and pillow covers in soft and fresh earth tones, or bold floral prints. These small changes can instantly brighten up a room and make it feel more seasonal.Switch heavy, wintery fabrics for lighter options. 2. Add Greenery

Nothing says spring and summer like fresh greenery. Incorporate potted plants, fresh flowers, or even faux greenery if you’re not a plant parent. A vase of tulips or a fiddle-leaf fig in the corner can breathe life into any space.

3. Play with Color And Pattern

Introduce pops of color through accessories like vases, artwork, or rugs. Shades of yellow, coral, and green are perfect for the season. I also am always drawn to block prints for that beachy vibe! Don’t be afraid to mix and match for a playful, eclectic look.

4. Update Your Table Settings

Swap out your everyday tableware for something more seasonal. Think floral-patterned plates, colorful glassware, or woven placemats. These small touches can make every meal feel like a special occasion.

5. Bring the Outdoors In

Incorporate natural materials like wicker, rattan, or jute. A woven basket for storage or a rattan accent chair can add texture and a summery vibe to your space.

6. Refresh Your Entryway

Your entryway sets the tone for your home. Add a cheerful doormat, a vase of fresh flowers, summery wreaths, or a bright piece of wall art to welcome guests (and yourself!) with a touch of seasonal charm.

7. Light It Up

Switch out candles and lighting for something lighter and fresher. Opt for citrus-scented candles or string lights for a whimsical touch. Lanterns with LED candles are also a great way to add ambiance.

These simple upgrades can transform your home into a seasonal haven that feels fresh, inviting, and ready for all the sunny days ahead. Happy decorating!
