Eva Amurri shares her favorite winter gear for kids

Whether we like it or not, winter is coming!

I always like to be prepared pretty early when it comes to winter gear for my kids. Mostly because the great stuff sells out quickly and nobody wants to be wading through the last licks pile for a coat you’ll be having to stare at for six months. (And wash about a zillion times).

I went on a winter shopping spree last week for the kiddos and thought I would share the things I got for them! As a note, I always buy things for Major that I plan to reuse for Mateo, and I think when it comes to winter gear for kids, quality really does make a difference!

Here are the pieces you’ll be seeing on my kiddos this winter:

Baby ColdControl Ultra Max Snowsuit

GAP

I died when I found this snowsuit for Mateo. The bear ears on the hood! It comes in a few colorways. too!

Baby ColdControl Reversible Puffer Vest

GAP

I got this reversible puffer vest as a layering piece for Mateo this fall/winter. I love how versatile it is!

Baby Brannan Bear Beanie

GAP

This knit hat brings “baby bear” to a new level! I like that it’s thin enough that I can layer it underneath the hood of his snowsuit for extra warmth.

Sweater Knit Organic Baby Cardigan Hoodie

Burt's Bees Baby

Mateo has already started wearing this button-down knit hoodie and I love it! It goes with everything.

Quilted Organic Baby Jacket

Burt's Bees Baby

I couldn’t resist this quilted jacket for Mateo for Fall! Plus it looks WAY more expensive than it is.

Toddler Turtleneck

Dudley Stephens

I love love love Dudley Stephens fleeces for me, and the fact that they have their cozy, eco-friendly fleece in kids sizes is amazing! I got a turtleneck neon pink for Marlowe.

Kids Crewneck in Terry Fleece

Dudley Stephens

…and a navy crewneck fleece for Major!

Kids Upcycled Lightweight Puffer

GAP

I got Major this upcycled lightweight puffer for Fall. It’s so cozy and will definitely last me through Mateo as well.

Kids Upcycled Lightweight Puffer

GAP

I got Marlowe the Navy version with stars…that Major can wear next year!

Haze Hat

Appaman

As for cozy hats, I love the Appaman ones. I love this traffic cone orange for Maj so I can spot him easily.

Melody Beanie

Appaman

This navy pompom version is perfect for Marlowe!

Base Camp Puffer

Appaman

I’m obsessed with this camo puffer for Major Boy! I think it’s so chic and it’s waterproof and warm for playing in the snow in the Winter.

Sloan Puffer Coat

Appaman

Marlowe is getting this aubergine puffer with the icy silver faux fur. I wish they made it in my size!

Arctix Infant/Toddler Chest High Snow Bib Overalls

Arctix

My kids grow out of snow pants like it’s their job. Since we don’t have a ton of official “snow days” anymore, I like to keep this item inexpensive. I love this amazon find that comes in lots of colorways!

Waterproof Anti-Slip Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid Winter Snow Boots

Mishansha

I also LOVE these snow boots for both of my Bigs!

Turtle Fur Chelonia 150 Classic Fleece Kids Neck Warmer Ages 3-6

Turtle Fur

I always get these Turtle Fur neck warmers for my kids for winter. They come in lots of colors and are SO much easier for them to keep on than scarves!
