I love making little tweaks here and there to classic cocktails to make them feel a bit more seasonal when possible. It’s such a fun way to have an update on something you already love!
I love a Whiskey Sour, especially in the cooler months—and I decided to put a really fun, seasonal spin on it, that also utilizes a natural sweetener: Maple!
One of my favorite things about living in Connecticut in the Fall and Winter is that there are lots of local farms that make their own Maple Syrup. It’s a great way to discover local farms and invest in the local economy—If you live on the East Coast, I highly recommend trying to buy local maple syrup for this cocktail if you can! I bet lots of farms even ship!
I also wanted to note that the egg white is optional in this cocktail, but does create a nice foam that adds to the drink’s aesthetic. It won’t affect the taste, though, if that idea freaks you out.
I hope you enjoy this Maple Whiskey Sour cocktail as much as I do!

Tried this with the egg white and cayenne and it was so good my husband bragged about it to his friends. Nice to have a new whiskey recipe to mix things up.
Omg this makes me so happy. Yasss!
This is a great recipe. I am a fan of sour and vintage whiskey. Thank you for sharing, this will be a perfect addition to my weekend brunches.
Thanks, Tommy! Hope you love it!
