Eva Amurri shares her Loafer Round-Up

Now that you’ve experienced me trying to make a funny with this blog title, let’s talk about a style of footwear that never goes out of style and ALWAYS looks good: the loafer! Back in the 90s, the cool thing to do with your penny loafers was to put an actual penny in the front cut out. Extra points if you could find one with a special year on it, like your birth year! I had a navy and a brown pair of loafers, and the move back then was to wear it with leggings and an oversized T-shirt. Strangely, not far off from how people are dressing now! Full Circle! LOL.

As an Italian girl, another core memory for me in my early 20s is suede loafers, aka Tod’s, aka the chic collectible, I had to have! The thing I love about a great loafer is that it can make even the simplest outfit (like denim and a white T-shirt) look instantly more pulled together. I even think that pairing them with a dress or skirt makes you immediately look like you Summer on the french riviera. It’s just that casual-cool factor that I’m always striving for in terms of outfit vibes! The other thing I love about a loafer is that they’re a flat! Yes, a totally comfortable footwear option that is more elevated than a sneaker but that still enables you to hit the pavement in style.

I truly believe that every woman (and man!) needs a great pair of loafers in their wardrobe, and today I thought I would share a roundup of my favorites. Let me know which ones you like the most!
