Off of my office in our new home, there is a beautiful, light-filled room that works perfectly as a formal living room. It also happens to be one of the first rooms you see when you enter our house. I felt so inspired by this room immediately, and I knew I wanted to create a formal living room with impact, that also served as a peaceful and feminine respite for me. I planned to use it as a place to take meetings at home as well! When thinking about my ultra-feminine dream space, I had to incorporate my favorite color: pink! I also wanted to evoke an elevated tropical vibe, that would remind me of a vintage Hollywood Regency style. I could imagine sitting in our formal living room with girlfriends, sipping a glass of wine and catching up, or curling up with a magazine on the weekends.
Since I knew I really wanted to create a big splash with this room, and I wanted it to feel super elevated, it was essential to source the room’s finishes from the best of the best: Kravet! I worked with Kravet on the gorgeous wallpaper in the mudroom and stair tower of my last home, and I was completely obsessed with the quality and selection they had. It was so hard for me to pick a favorite, but when I finally did, I could not have been happier. I got so many compliments on the paper from friends AND followers.
Kravet Inc. has led the design industry in quality, service, and creativity since 1918! And they have always had the best selection of wallcoverings, fabrics, trim, carpet, you name it! There’s just so much to choose from. And I love that they carry options that range from elevated neutrals to splashy and bold. It wasn’t about finding something I loved, but rather narrowing down the options!
When I saw this incredible Kravet sisal wallpaper with the palm leaves, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. I love that this paper is both elegant, and a little beachy– it picked up on the Hollywood Regency theme perfectly! Then I saw the Lee Jofa “New Bradbourne” fabric in blush and fell in love all over again. I knew it would be absolutely perfect to bring my ultra-feminine vision to life! I finished the drapes with Kravet’s beautiful “Daintree” fringe (in Ivory/Natural) to create that extra retro effect. Now, if only I could invite Lana Turner and Ava Gardner over for a martini!
All the furniture in the room had to echo the vibes, and I can say that I am completely OBSESSED with how this room turned out. It really sets the tone for our home when you first walk in, without being overwhelming. It is my perfect, tranquil little space and I absolutely DO enjoy a glass of wine and a flip through a coffee table book or magazine at the end of a long day. Mission: accomplished! I’m putting all the design details below, but let me know if you have additional questions!

I am obsessed with the material of your couch and chairs! I love the feel and warmth it brings to a room. Just bought a bedroom set with that material in the bed itself. The room is gorgeous!
That sounds gorge!
Stunning
Thanks Carmen!
