I’m a huge proponent of Date Night, kids or no kids. I think it’s important to get out once a week (or every two) if you can, and spend quality time with your partner– even for just an hour! When Kyle and I take the time for ourselves, we notice that our bond is stronger and we feel reinvigorated as parents, too! If weeknights don’t work, try a daytime date on the weekend and leave the kids with grandparents or a supportive friend! Below are five perfect date ideas, with stylish outfits to match! Irresistible.
Dinner & A Movie happens to be one of Kyle and my favorite Date Night treats. If I’m being honest, I have been to maybe five movies in the past year post-Marlowe, and it feels SO luxurious whenever we get to sit in a dark and quiet theater and watch something on the big screen. We make an effort to try a new spot for dinner, too! I love this outfit because it is SO sexy in an understated way, but also comfy. Don’t forget it is Date Night, so let the fringe in these accessories bring out your inner Playful Cuddler!

Remember when you guys were first dating, and you used to daydream about that hot little number you were going to slip on before you met up for drinks? Before you worried about what time you would be woken up in the morning (or how many ounces you had to pump and dump when you got home?) Bring it back, baby! Sexy drinks on the town is our personal Date Night go-to. I adore putting a dress on and some lipstick, and being treated like it’s those pre-baby days! I either order a delicious glass of wine, or my naughtier fave: a Grey Goose martini, slightly dirty, with extra olives. Oh yeah.

Is your favorite band in town? Or is there a great music festival going on in your area? Ditch the girls just this once, and experience it with your Main Squeeze! For concerts, I always say that comfort is key– but you don’t need to sacrifice style! These flattering and comfortable silhouettes will keep you flirty in a crowd, and the backpack keeps your hands available for holding or (my personal favorite) raising the roof!

I think wine tasting with the one you love is a perfect weekend daytime date idea. Even if you don’t live near a vineyard, there are lots of restaurants where you can go to order a cheese plate and a great flight of wine. Just make sure you have a nice snack with your tasting if you have kids to go home and take care of right after! This look is ladylike but the cut of the top gives it extra sex appeal. I also love the flat shoe for exploring the vines!

A chic dinner party, with good food and excellent adult conversation, can be the perfect reset button for stressed out parents. I recommend really pulling out the stops with your outfit so it feels like a true event, and gets you in that sassy pre-baby mood.
