Holiday cocktails are my favorite variety! There is just nothing more fun than a festive cocktail during the happiest time of the year. I even love when my Holiday cocktails feature the colors of the season! Holiday Cocktails have been super popular on this blog since its inception. My Holiday Sangria is still one of my most popular blog posts year after year. I thought it was time to add another one of my delicious cocktails to the blog because it’s perfect for hosting this season.

Introducing: my Blood Orange & Cranberry Mojito! I just love how the sweetness of the blood orange and the tangy cranberry come together with warming ginger to create the palette for this fun Mojito. This is such a great party drink, and one of my favorites to serve over Thanksgiving. I figured I’d get it out there ASAP so you can make it for your Thanksgiving crew! I also love this recipe because it’s SO easy to make into a Mocktail. Just replace the rum with sparkling water and you’re good to go!

Let me know if you make this and how you like it! As always, enjoy responsibly.

Blood Orange & Cranberry Mojito

Step 1:

Make Ginger Simple Syrup

In a small pan, combine the ginger, sugar, and water and bring to a simmer. Stirring until the sugar is dissolved, about 2 minutes. Then set aside to chill.

Step 2:

Sugar Rim, Muddle and Pour

Rub the rims of the glasses with a lime wedge and then gently coat them in brown sugar. In the bottom of the flutes, divide the mint and lime wedges evenly between the four glasses, 2 tablespoons of simple syrup in each glass, and use a muddler to smash them all together and release the mint oil and lime juice. Add ice cubes, rum, and blood orange soda to fill the glass most of the way.

Step 3:

Garnish and Serve

Put a floater of cranberry juice on top. Garnish with fresh mint, and cranberries, and finish off with a festive straw!
