Summer recipes in our house are all about making the most of seasonal and fresh produce. There is absolutely nothing better than produce in the summer months, and we love visiting farmer’s markets and local farms here in Connecticut to pick up the best the season has to offer. We also mostly grill this time of year! I’m always dreaming up ways of making grilled fish and chicken more interesting to the palette, and one of my go-to ways to do this is with salsas and sauces!
I whipped up this avocado, mango, and strawberry salsa the other day and it was such a huge hit in our household that I knew I had to share it with all of you! I love how the sweetness of this salsa mixes with the kick of the jalapeno and the tartness of the lime juice. I like to mix in extra cilantro and extra jalapeno when just Ian and I are eating this, or when it’s intended mostly for adults. But you can adjust the recipe to fit your tastes!
Serve with chips, crackers, or alongside meat or fish for a fresh burst of flavors.
