“What is Friendsmas?”, you may ask yourself. If you’ve ever enjoyed a Friendsgiving, then this type of party may be just the one for you! I’ve always loved an opportunity to gather and rejoice with not only family around the holidays, but also Friends Who Are Family. I feel so lucky to have such incredible people in my life, and we’ve been very grateful for the awesome community around us. It’s just so much more fun to be raising kids alongside other wonderful people and their wonderful kids! Is there anything better? A “Friendsmas” is a festive Christmas celebration without family, and with great friends. I like to set aside an afternoon to have a family-friendly and festive holiday celebration every year with just our nearest and dearest before we get into the swing of our family holiday. It’s nice to connect and exchange gifts, eat great food, and enjoy some cocktails while our kiddos run around on too much sugar and make a craft together.
Also, you know I love a good theme. This year, I thought I would throw a fun Reindeer Rumble as our Friendsmas party! I was feeling a reindeer theme, clearly. A great party is all about a relaxed atmosphere, festive decorations, good food, fun drinks, and something for everyone to do. That is the formula! Today I’m showing you a little peek at our Reindeer Rumble Friendsmas in case you need a little inspo for your own holiday celebrations! I just love how this party turned out, especially the theme! The little Reindeer pretzel bites were so delicious omg. Highly recommend giving the rest away at the end of your party so you don’t end up crushing an entire platter of them while watching White Lotus….like yours truly definitely did NOT do…Whoops.
I also made Reindeer Spritz cocktails (recipe below), which were light and refreshing! How cute are the little marshmallow reindeer floating in them?! You can easily create Mocktails for the kiddos by mixing cranberry juice cocktail and Sprite! Lastly, we planned out a fun Reindeer Cork Craft for the kiddos, to keep them happy and occupied. I absolutely love the holidays because of how much more joyful every single experience is– including parties. It makes everything feel that much more special. Needless to say, my kids were obsessed with the Reindeer Rumble theme, and they even dressed the part in their matching Hanna reindeer sweater LEWKS.
Wishing your friend group a beautiful Friendsmas this year, and let me know if you try any of these festive ideas!
