One of the most exciting moments in my 9-year blogging career might not be what you’d expect. One of my inspirations for creating this online space was the belief I’ve always had that as Mothers we can still remain the women we once were. Not in every detail of course, as so much of us changes and evolves with parenthood. But I do truly believe that not only can women hold on to Womanhood while still being a mother, but that the majority of us WANTS to retain our individual identity. One of those tenets of womanhood, in my eye, is pleasure and sensuality.

One of the most exciting moments EVER was when I decided to publish a “spicy” Christmas gift post a few years ago. I was going out on a limb because I didn’t really know how it would be received. Not only putting the sensual side of myself out there publicly but also assuming other readers of my blog would be into sexier items, was a risk of sorts. I was blown away by the response. Not only are women and mothers out here wanting to explore their sensuality, but they are buying sexy items for themselves and/or their partners as well! It made me soooo happy to see that my suspicion was true: we all really do want to find a way to have it all, and that starts with investing in that soft and sultry part of ourselves that can oftentimes go overlooked and unappreciated in Parenthood.
