Many thanks to Vista Alegre for sending me this gorgeous Coralina tableware, and Bicos Verde glassware. As always, the thoughts and opinions expressed below are entirely my own.
I love setting a more formal table for the Thanksgiving holiday…there’s something so special about gathering to give thanks with the ones we love. I always find that how I feel drawn to set my table for Thanksgiving really says a lot about where my brain is at creatively. Because this is the first Thanksgiving table in our new home, it feels extra special. I knew I wanted to really step it up a notch to reflect the beauty of our new dining room, and it was SO fun to put this table together!
Instead of typical Fall colors, I wanted to cool down the concept of orange and turn it in to a coral focal point instead. I could not be more obsessed with the china from Vista Alegre, and once I saw this pattern that they did with Oscar De La Renta…you can ask my work colleagues…I quite literally swooned. I’m such a fan of mixing prints, and this china does just that in the most elegant way. I paired them with green Bicos Verde glassware that uses an old manual diamond-tip manufacturing style dating all the way back to the nineteenth century, which evokes such a vintage mood. I really loved accenting all of it with gold, and of course some beautiful florals. I am so looking forward to holding on to this china well in to my old age, and passing it on to the next generations in our family. I hope one day they’ll see how I used it to set my special tables…and reinvent it for themselves! That’s the beautiful thing about china, in my opinion…everyone gets inspired by it in a different way.
I also decided this year to create a winter fruit punch as a big batch cocktail to serve before dinner. The recipe is below. I felt these gorgeous glasses were calling for something fun and festive! Feel free to spice up the recipe by replacing regular orange juice with blood orange juice!
The Martino's Thanksgiving Rum Punch
Ingredients
- 1 cup orange juice (or blood orange juice)
- 1 cup peach juice
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1/4 cup dark rum
- 1/2 cup grenadine
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- fresh mint, for garnish
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients in a large pitcher and stir well.
- Fill the pitcher with ice and garnish with fresh mint.
- Serve and enjoy!

Inspired by this china, here is a place setting card template to use if you’d like this holiday season! The file is transparent so you can print it on any color card stock (I recommend cream or off-white) and then fill in the names of your guests. Wishing you and yours a gorgeous Thanksgiving holiday.
Your table setting is beautiful however the glasses should be placed on the right side of the setting above the knives and the bread plates should be on the left. That is the correct placement for a classic setting.
This is so pretty — I love it! And I definitely want to try that punch!
Thank you!
