I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for a vacation! Man does our family need one! After an ongoing Connecticut winter, two moves in five weeks, and a home under construction, we are aching to get out of dodge! And we are heading to Jamaica tomorrow! We’re especially excited because it’ll be our first time visiting– and we’ve heard incredible things.  We’ll be staying at a kid-friendly all-inclusive resort, which we have learned from experience is the PERFECT vacation style for where our family is right now.  I just can’t wait to belly up to the pool bar, grab a cocktail, and frolic through the surf with my little ones.  I’ve even found a way to keep work to a minimum while there which will be so awesome!

This vacation has been planned since last summer, but is conveniently coming at the perfect time– except for the fact that I had thought we were going to be moved in to our new home before I had to pack.  Spoiler Alert: I was wrong.  And I don’t have any of my beach clothes out of storage! I panicked at first, but then realized it was the perfect opportunity to treat myself to a small capsule of new summer items, and the best part is they are all available right now! Today I’m sharing a look at my packing list, and of course we will be sharing photos from our trip once we return.  I think I’ll probably still be using social media while there also, so make sure you’re following me!

I’d also love to ask for any musts from people who have visited the Montego Bay Area.  I would love to find a recommendation for a romantic dinner spot, great shopping, and maybe a local attraction.  Please comment below!

Houseboat restaurant in Montego Bay is amazing! The ambience is lovely and the food is great, it’s such a unique fun restaurant. Also for food and attraction in one try Stush in the Bush, it’s an amazing food experience. Mystic Mountain, Dunn’s River Falls, YS Falls ( i prefer YS over Dunn’s River) Good Hope Great house, Chukka Tours, ricks cafe, rafting on the Martha Brae are all amazing attractions. Have fun and enjoy!

Find The Houseboat Grill. Off property but call them and they will come pick you up. Literally a restaurant on a houseboat, the food is amazing and so romantic.

    • These pics are at the Dudley stephens townhouse! Our house is covered in plastic as they’re finishing the floors!

Round hill for cocktail(Incase you are not staying there!). Gorgeous bar, great place for a sunset. Foods better than ok but not exquisite. Beautiful property very evocative of the 1960s. I think Babe Paley JFK etc.
