Dear Eva,

First, I absolutely love your blog! As a first-time Mom, I really admire your approach to being a Mom and the sense of inclusiveness that you have build through your posts.  I’m not sure if I missed this, but have you done a post about baby gear?  I’ve seen pictures of Marlowe in a portable high chair and would lvoe to learn more about how you decided upon in.  My LO is starting solids and we have a Stokke Tripp Trapp for hoe, but I would love to learn more about something more portable.

Thank you,

Ms. Baby Gear-ing Up

Dear Ms. Baby Gear-ing Up,

First of all, thank you so much for the kind compliment! That really means a lot to me– I’m so glad you’re enjoying the site! I haven’t yet done a comprehensive guide of my favorite Baby Gear items, but now is a great time to start! Thanks for the request! I will tell you that the items I am outlining below became my favorites largely after a lot of trial and error with various brands and models. Some are investment pieces, and some are ultra cheap!  I’m one of those nerds who likes to do a lot of online research and read tons of reviews before I buy anything, so I have certainly done my homework.  That said, each child is different, and baby gear certainly follows similar guidelines.  Make sure you choose items that work for your baby and your family.

Click through the Slideshow below for my favorite products, and a brief description!

Hi! Any tips on sleep? Do you ever co-sleep? Thanks! Annie

    • Hi Annie!
My best tip on the sleeping is to come up with a strict and consistent bedtime routine. I outline ours in This blog post I feel strongly about not co-sleeping, but that’s just what works for our family. In fact, Marlowe is so used to sleeping on her own now that recently I wanted to have her in bed with us when we were traveling and she flat out refused! She asked for “my bed”. Remember, kids are SO adaptable– A few times of “just this once” can turn in to a habit for them, or so I’ve found with mine 😉
