Nights with my girlfriends are how I like to recharge my batteries.  There is something so great about having a little wine, laughing, complaining, championing each other, and fleshing out our goals across a table of delicious food.  A new cooking delivery service, Din, reached out to see if I would be interested in trying one of their menus, and I thought it would be the perfect chance to move the party in to my home!

Din is cool because instead of just presenting you with the ingredients and menu for a meal you could otherwise make at home, this company gives you the goods to recreate meals from popular famous restaurants! I think it’s so clever because it enables tired moms, couples, or even groups of girlfriends to stay at home for dinner while also getting the chance to taste the dishes that in-restaurant diners have been raving about! Win-win.

I set the scene with a cheese and meat plate, and a selection of wines from Club W.  I’m personally a red-drinker at dinner, but I have a couple girlfriends who are White-all-the-way so I wanted to have a selection for them too!  I created a floral country-inspired tablescape, and included a little home made energizing citrus scrub as a favor on each girl’s plate.

Dinner was embarrassingly easy to cook and assemble, and I had my friend Christiana (from uber-chic fashion blog Ciao Christiana) helping as my sous-chef.  I am positive that she is the most gorgeous sous-chef I have ever chopped onions with.  Sorry, Kyle.  We prepared a Nettle Pappardelle with mushrooms,  and the Chicken Leg Confit with padrón peppers and goat cheese sauce from Bar Tartine. (The chicken legs are hiding under the accompanying arugula salad in these pictures, but they were there, I swear!) Both dishes were so delicious, and ones that I otherwise would never have had the guts to attempt at home! A fun and funny time was had by all, and my girlfriends– the gems that they are– even stayed to help me clean my kitchen afterwards.  Teamwork truly does make the dream work, and I’m lucky to be friends with such dreamy babes!

I’m now obsessed with hosting Girls’ Nights at my house! Do you have any go-to ideas for hosting groups of girlfriends at home? I’d love to hear them!

xoxo
