I happen to have a sweet spot for a Wine Spritzer. There’s something about having the delicious taste of wine, with the refreshing (and less alcoholic) attributes of a spritzer that I just adore. Add on to that the fact that with a spritzer I can get away with having two drinks versus my usual one, and it’s just good times all around. I recently took my spritzer game to the next level by crafting this delicious and fresh tasting sake spritzer– I added a cucumber infusion for a cool and satisfying twist!
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 ounces Dry Sake
- 3 ounces Club Soda
- 1/2 persian cucumber, sliced
- 1 ice sphere (use a mold!), or crushed ice. ** Freeze some cucumber slices in the mold for a little extra cucumber infusion!
RECIPE:
Put your ice of choice in the glass, add the sake, then carefully add the club soda. Garnish with several slices of cucumber, and drink immediately!
(You may use either a wine glass, or a martini glass as I’ve used here. If using crushed ice, a
Collins glass would be ideal.)
