The Espresso Martini is having her moment, and I’m not mad about it! Until this year, the last time I had ordered an Espresso Martini was probably 2011. I used to drink them on romantic dinners out when I knew I’d be up late and wanted to be energized but also have that fun martini-style buzz. I love martinis! I happen to also LOVE the taste of espresso, so this was such a great cocktail option for me. Then, I kind of forgot about them. All of a sudden, they are back and trending in a major way. I see them on cocktail lists all the time now, as well as all over Instagram. I ordered one a few weeks ago when I was dining out, and it reminded me of the good old days. I knew I had to mix some up at home for Ian and I to enjoy on the weekend. I love how the recipe turned out so I thought I would share. I like to dust with cocoa powder on the top to give it that hint of chocolate but feel free to leave it out if that’s not your thing. Let me know if you try this recipe and like it! For us, it’s the perfect Friday at 5 O’clock cocktail!
