This muggy midsummer heat has gotten me craving a cooling and tangy refresher. This watermelon and lime drink is so delicious, easy to make, and is bursting with summer flavor.
Marlowe loves this juice as well, and I feel great about her drinking it. Watermelon has tons of potassium, vitamin B, and vitamin C, and is super hydrating. And if caring for small children is not on your agenda, you can also add an ounce of vodka and shake or blend with ice for a perfect hot-weather cocktail!
Ingredients:
- 1 small watermelon
- 3 limes
Recipe: Cut the watermelon in to chunks, discarding rind. Place in to a high-powered blender such as the Vitamix. Squeeze the juice of 3 limes. Blend until smooth and frothy. If you would like it more like a slushy, add 1/2 cup of ice! Enjoy!

Gurllll….if you really want to up this drink, freeze the watermelon with mint, blend it with margarita mix and add tequila! You can also do it with strawberries, pineapples or cucumbers. I must admit, I have really upped my margarita game since I became a stay at home Mom 😉
This drink sounds right up my alley! We are expecting twins, so no alcohol for me. 🙁 I am always looking for a fun n/a drink, and this one looks delicious and easy.
