Sometimes on my blog I share recipes, easy DIY’s, parenting milestones, and even beauty tutorials. And sometimes I like to come on here and share things I’m super excited about, and that I don’t want you to miss. Today is one of those days! I couldn’t be more excited to remind you that the cast is returning to the show of our youth…BH90210 is BACK!!!

It’ll be back on August 7th on Fox, to be exact. And I truly can’t believe this is happening. How many times do you get to “reconvene” with a cast that you grew up alongside, through the ups and downs of high school…and then college and the aftermath?! The original BH90210 was a cultural phenomenon for an entire generation, because it talked about so many things that real teens and young adults were going through, and dealt with them on primetime. Sex, Drug abuse, alcoholism, rape, eating disorders, domestic violence, homophobia, racism, antisemitism, teenage pregnancy, AIDS, and suicide. The good rites of passage, like first loves and lifelong friendship, along with the tougher things that a lot of teens (before social media) just didn’t have much context for or information about.

To be a teenager is to be a complicated soul. We all remember that. I grew up in New York City in the 90’s and early 00’s, and I remember watching BH90210 and being so captivated by the concept of Brandon and Brenda moving from middle America to big city life in Los Angeles, and finding their way and a big high school. I grew up pretty quickly in a lot of ways, and watching the kids of BH90210 navigate a lot of the same waters was comforting. Also who didn’t have crushes on all the lead guys?! (I mean at varying times, OF COURSE. I’M VERY LOYAL.) LOL.

When I met my husband, and we were dating and getting to know each other’s histories, I was always so enamored with the fact that he grew up in the suburbs, and went to a huge high school! He played varsity sports, hung out at house parties at night, ran in to people at the local diner, and just lived a completely different existence than I ever did. I love imagining what it would have been like if we grew up together in the same town, at the same high school, and met back then. Ha! Of course we had to take some pics in honor of BH90210 returning to the airwaves!

I’m so beyond excited to watch the gang back together again, and all the friendships, frenemy-ships, and complicated romances that will continue to unfurl. Who isn’t pumped to see our faves back on the screen together again?!
 I’ll definitely be watching…will you?! Don’t forget the first episode premieres on August 7th at 9/8c on Fox!
