This week, the rocket start to 2016 has caught up to me. My husband returned from his work week with a five-days-in-bed sinus infection requiring antibiotics, Marlowe and my Nanny both caught the tail end of it, and I scrambled to pick up the slack all while keeping up my end of the bargain on several work commitments. Basically I either needed an IV bag full of veggie juice hooked up to me for the foreseeable future, or I needed to put on every black item of clothing I own and hide. I did the latter. Good thing I have this ultra chic burnt out velvet All Saints dress to make my (semi) nervous breakdown look way better. I’m also super in to the current dress over pants trend. I think a very wealthy mother of a toddler somehow paid for that to be cool again. I’m thankful. Topping it all off are two of my favorite accessories ever (backpacks and lipstick) in my favorite color ever (PINK!). In case you can’t find me while I’m hiding…I’m that person with the dayglo backpack…
