When you find yourself in new surroundings, there is something so exciting and child-like about going on a good ‘ole exploring mission to see what you can see. The other day, we decided to do just that, and give Marlowe a little sense of the quaint beauty of East Coast small town life! Today I’m sharing all of the pics we took so you can come along with us! Marlowe’s Mimi and Papa were visiting from South Carolina, which gave us a great opportunity to get some cute shots with them as well. Lowie absolutely loves exploring, but what she liked most of all was when we stumbled upon a Firehouse! She’s been obsessed with fire trucks recently and just couldn’t believe they were letting her go up and sit on one! The Fire Dog, Coconut, also made quite an impression and was extremely patient– Marlowe likes to give pups quite a few cuddles and kisses! It makes me so happy to watch my child making these kind of memories, and it’s amazing how their excitement for a new environment is absolutely infectious. Come along on our little road trip to Bedford, New York!
Do you like to go on Family Adventures with your little ones?? I’d love to hear what your best ones have been– let me know in the comments below!!

What a fun day! I love the pictures of Marlowe sitting on the fire truck!
Agree the pics of Marlowe on the Firetruck are adorable- lucky little lady:) explore Katonah Village too – you would all have a great time & the Katonah Art Museum.
There’s something so special about finding a new place to explore. It looks like y’all had a great family day. Congratulations by the way on the new addition to your family 🙂
Thanks, Robyn! I find that exploring as a family makes me have even more fun and see the world through my child’s adventurous eyes. Our time with just Marlowe is ticking away so it’s so great to spend some quality time, also 😉

Aww, it’s nice to see other people enjoying the area where I grew up! Enjoy!! It’s definitely family friendly. Totally digging M’s bright blue pants. There’s a good new Thai place in Chappaqua if you get hungry! I’m mildly obsessed and keep ordering from there when I go to visit my folks.
Love GREAT ADVENTURES…looks like you, Kyle, Lowie, Baby Boy, Nana, Papa and Coconut (I always include the pets…or Fire Dogs!) had a great time. I always told my “kids” that we were going on adventures if we were going shopping looking for something making a game of it. I know Lowies too young but it works! The stories I could tell…so could and do the kids! And they are married and parents themselves! LOL
If you get to VA or Naptown let me know…
Safe travels…love seeing Nana and Papa!
Love to all!

Yes! We love the Bedford carnival! It actually rolled through a couple of weeks ago and Marlowe couldn’t get enough 😉
