Believe it or not, pumpkins are already all over your local grocery store. Wasn’t it just 4th of July?! Anyway, I got so inspired on my grocery run the other day that I decided to pick up a few pumpkins to craft with! I absolutely adore how these Pumpkin centerpieces turned out. They would even be the perfect hostess gift for a fall dinner party!
To make these gorgeous floral pumpkins, simply cut the top off of a pumpkin, and scoop out the insides. Then, place a small vase or water glass (depending on the size of the pumpkin and floral arrangement) inside the pumpkin cavity. Fill the vase with water, and arrange your flowers inside! TIP: Use fall flowers and grasses in earthy or jewel tones for your arrangements to give them that special autumnal quality.
How long do the pumpkins last like this? Do you spray them inside with anything to prevent them from getting gross? I find my pumpkins get disgusting after a couple of days after being carved..
Alana,
Unfortunately, the pumpkins can only last so long! I know it’s annoying. Mine lasted 3-4 days. You can always take the vase with flowers out of the pumpkin once it starts getting soft, and enjoy the arrangements in a different way!
