This week’s “Eight By Eva” Supermom, Jordana Brewster, has been just a liiiiitle bit busy the past few years. Besides being a dedicated and hands-on Mom to her adorable son, Julian (2), Jordana has been starring in the Fast and Furious movie franchise, as well as filming back-to-back television roles– You can watch Jordana in American Crime Story and season 2 of ABC’s Secrets And Lies early next year! Clearly she is no stranger to juggling a hectic lifestyle and a rambunctious toddler– below, this multitasking maven answers my eight favorite questions:
1. What is the best parenting advice you have received?
Listen to your gut. When I was a very new mom I read so many books on how to parent. I thought I could “master” it and wanted to be as prepared as possible. I’ve realized there is no such thing.
2. What is your greatest challenge as a parent?
Guilt– It’s hard to work and be a mom and wife, and juggle it all seamlessly. I recently went back to work and Julian (who just turned two) was going through separation anxiety. I read him “Mama Llama misses Mama” and tried to process as much as I could with him.
3. What’s the latest with your kid(s)? Any new dynamics? Funny quirks? Challenges?
He copies EVERYTHING which is super cute. I often call my husband “babe” or “honey” and Julian copies my tone perfectly. He also loves picking out his own shoes every morning.
4. What is your dream day as a family?
My sister’s son, Kingman, is 1 year younger than Julian but they are super close and hang out all the time. So, my husband, Bella, Baron, Julian and Kingman would go to the farmer’s market then hang out at the park, then swim.
5. Kid item you can’t live without?
Baby wipes.
6. Favorite local kids activity?
Tongva Park is really fun because of the splash pads. Julian also loves Dan the Man Superkids. He’s a little gymnast.
7. How do you unwind?
I meditate twice a day and I run.
8. What are your favorite beauty products?
I love Pond’s Towelettes because they make washing my face super easy. Original Sprout body lotion and body wash and sunscreen are the best! I also love Charlotte Tilbury and Josie Maran makeup.
