Pumpkin Crafts are kind of my fave this time of year. I wanted to share one that is ultra impressive looking, but so easy to pull off.
These are my DIY Faux Floral Pumpkins! You can customize this craft to your own favorite color palettes to go with any vibe or mood. For my own, I wanted to stick with a traditional color palette, since I will be using these on my porch, which has a very graphic black and white palette. Because the florals are faux, they last all season and can be used year after year. These would also be amazing on a mantle, or even to spruce up a Fall tablescape!
materials…
- Craft Pumpkins
- Tempera Paint (I used black for maximum contrast, but you can use any color combo here, or just leave them white!)
- Faux Florals
- Scissors
- A Pencil
instructions…
Step 1
Paint!
Begin by painting the pumpkins (if you are using paint) and allow them to dry overnight.
Step 2
Trim!
Next, trim your faux florals down so there is only 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch stem.
Step 3
Trace!
Using a pencil, trace the flower pattern you’d like, or just place dots haphazardly for a more bohemian vibe to mark your pattern.
Step 4
Cut!
Carefully poke holes in your craft pumpkins with the tip of your scissors to hold the flower stems. The craft pumpkins are pretty soft, so this shouldn’t be hard. You can also use another sharp tool if you have one.
Step 5
Add Flowers!
Slide the flower stems into the holes you made on your pumpkins, et voila! A simple and beautiful front porch decoration, or even a table centerpiece!
