Happy Holidays! This time of year is always my favorite– I love the decorations, the style, the events, and of course the overall cheerful vibe and spirit of goodwill. Christmas is a bit bittersweet this year, because it’s our last holiday season in our home! In just a few months we’ll be moving in to the next chapter as a family, and in to our new historical home project! I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come, but I’ll admit that I will miss this house and the decor so much.
A lot of the furniture pieces will be coming with us, but I’m going to do totally new concepts for most of the rooms, which will be a really neat way to show how you can mix up the same furniture for different looks! I can’t wait for you to see what I have in store there, but in the meantime I’m all about this year’s holiday decor! Instead of having an overall theme, I like to decorate each room to suit it individually. I had so much fun using a lot of the holiday decor I already had, and mixing in some new pieces.
Since last year, we’ve had two Christmas trees: one super stylized white one that goes perfectly in our family room, and then another classic one covered in lights and ornaments Kyle and I have collected our entire relationship– and even from our childhoods! It’s been amazing to see how much everyone has changed over the years in some of the photo ornaments.
This year was our very first as a family of four with both kids actually understanding the holiday, and taking part in all the preparations! Major helped decorate with us this year, and I have to say it really warmed my heart to see both kids putting the little ornaments on the tree. I’ve been reflecting recently on what a weird couple of years we’ve had in a lot of ways (a huge move, injury ups and downs, mental health struggles, relationship struggles, getting the hang of my business, etc) and there seems to have been a massive energetic shift within our family the past few months. I just feel like we are headed in to our best chapter yet, and I’m feeling so dang grateful every single day.
I’m putting all of our decorations below for your scrolling pleasure, and there is a widget at the end to shop the look! Have an amazing holiday season!
xoxo

Love this. We are actually moving into a new house (the first one I got to buy) this weekend. So definitely loving new Christmas ideas (for next year). I can’t wait to decorate all our rooms!
The multicolored glass Christmas trees on the mantle are beautiful. Source?
Grandin Road! I noticed they also have them at Olive & Cocoa
