It’s been a while since I’ve done a whole testament to a single color here on the blog, and I figured today was as good a day as any! Neutral dressing has gotten a lot of attention (and a lot of criticism) in recent years. I love the calming aesthetic of stylish neutrals in a closet, I won’t deny that. But I’ve been finding a lot lately that I’ve been drawn to a different type of neutral when I’m dressing myself: army green. I consider army green (like Stripes, but that’s a different blog post) to be a totally neutral colorway. You can put either black or white with it: perfect. You can pair a print with it: perfect. Even bright colors or neons look great with it.
But, somehow, army green feels a lot fresher than your typical ecru, cream, or grey colorways. And, right now, army green is absolutely everywhere. Today I thought it was as good a time as any to share some of my favorite pieces in this utilitarian, yet highly impactful, color.
