My 2020 Winter Coats Edit

Eva Amurri shares her winter coat edit for 2020

Winter Is Coming! And I’m determined to be cozier than ever this year. I’ve realized over the years that comfort is key, and having a really warm winter coat doesn’t have to be fugly! There are great ones in every price point this year, and I thought I would round up some of my favorites—including some classic investment pieces, some trendy buys, and a coat that’s part of an entirely new way to shop for label-less luxury goods.

Most of these winter coats are from traditional retailers, but the one I’m wearing in these pics is from my new obsession: Italic!

I recently discovered Italic and it feels so “now” to me. Basically, it’s a label-less luxury manufacturer, that uses the same materials and factories that luxury brands use (think Frette, Chanel, Prada, Burberry) but provides them for members at-cost simply because they have no luxury label attached.

Less expensive, and actually, maybe a bit cooler? They have coats, cashmere sweaters, shoes, leather goods, bags, cookware, blankets, sheet sets, you name it.

I’ve been testing out different products and LOVE them. The quality is insane, because, hello: luxury, but the price is totally fair and a literal fraction of the cost of actually buying one of the items with their real label on it.

To join Italic to shop, you pay a $120/year membership fee, which unlocks access to their products across all categories, including home, fashion, menswear, and even eyewear!

I’m so into this business model, that I reached out to them to see if I could get a discount code for you guys by any chance…and they gave one! Anybody who uses the Italic link below will receive $10 off their annual membership when using code “happilyevaafter10” at checkout on new memberships!

I’m so excited to share more products I’m loving from Italic, too. Stay tuned!

Now, and without further ado: My 2020 Winter Coat Edit!

Waverly Long Puffer

Italic

This long puffer is so comfy and SO warm—and is manufactured with the same factory and materials as Max Mara and Mackage….for a fraction of the price. I ordered a Small and think it fits perfectly. I also love how it’s a bit fitted at the waist so it gives me some kind of shape even when I’m bundled up.

Shelburne Genuine Coyote Fur Trim Down Parka

Canada Goose

This Canada Goose parka is a cult classic for a reason. It’s so warm, never goes out of style, and is THE investment piece if you live in a climate that gets chilly in the winter! It comes in lots of colors too! I love it in red, black, or army green.

Rosemont Arctic Tech 625 Fill Power Down Parka with Genuine Coyote Fur Trim

Canada Goose

This is my other fave Canada Goose style. I think the white version of this is BEYOND chic.

Quilt Walker Jacket

Via Spiga

If you’re looking for an ultra-femme winter coat that’s still insulated, this one is the cutest! It comes in the prettiest blush and oyster colors and is fitted, too.

Chateau parka

J.Crew

This J.Crew Chateau Parka is one of my favorites in my coat closet…for good reason. The Italian wool is a beautiful quality and so warm– and these coats come in the prettiest colors! I love the removable faux fur trim hood.

Cocoon coat

J.Crew

If you want a hood-free Winter Coat, the cocoon coat is my favorite. I have it in a butterscotch color, but this year I want to order it in either this hot pink, or bright orange color!

Upcycled Midweight Puffer Jacket

GAP

Gap has been crushing the Coat Game the last couple of years! I got this leopard coat last Winter and I still LOVE it. It’s surprisingly warm!

Women's Asymmetrical Puffer Coat With Faux Fur Hood

30 First

The best deal I found this year was this awesome puffer for under $40! I love the three colorways, and the super cool black faux fur hood.

Women's Heavyweight Long Parka Jacket Coat

GBH

I LOVE how long this parka is…and it’s totally size-inclusive: from XS to 3XL! It comes in five colors, too.

  1. Do you feel like it’s worth the money to join Italic?

    • My feeling is if you’re in the market to switch over some items, like sheets, towels, and jackets or bags etc then definitely since the quality is so good! It’s also great for gifting for Holiday. If you’re not in the market for any of the products then maybe not

Nothing should ever be considered chic, stylish and a good investment piece if it’s made with real fur like several of the coats your recommended.

    • I completely agree! Isn’t it wild to think that most of a luxury price comes from the actual label on the product?!

I tend to go for convenience vs styl . My current jacket is fleece. But it keeps me warm and serves it’s purpose
