Eva’s Obsessions: February 2019

Eva Amurri Martino shares her February beauty and wellness obsessions!

The past month has been a total whirlwind with packing up our old home, setting things aside to move in to a rental, and staying up to date on all of the renovation updates.  I swear renovating a home is a full time job in itself! As crazy as it’s been, though, I’ve discovered some products this past month that I’m totally obsessed with.  It’s amazing how looking my best really helps me stay positive when there is tons of chaos around me– and these products have definitely been helping with that. I even packed them to come with us to the rental! Today I’m sharing the things I’m loving lately…

Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Mask

This mask is a brand new item from skincare legend Elemis, and I’m totally obsessed.  The mask is creamy and soothing, and delivers tons of moisturizing and glow-boosting nutrients for stressed out skin.  I’ve been using this twice a week and absolutely loving the results!

MAC Double-Gleam Extra Dimension Skin Finish

This is the best highlighter! It’s the perfect champagne tone that looks good on any skin color and is totally buildable for a subtle shimmer or more megawatt highlighting power.  I like to swipe this on my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, in my cupids bow, and in the inner corners of my eyes.

Huda Beauty Demi Matte Cream Lipstick, “SheEO”

This is the best warm nude lipstick! It’s my go-to if I can’t decide what lipstick to wear, and is so comfortable on the lips.  The texture of the lipstick, paired with the applicator, make it so you don’t even need a lip pencil to outline.  I personally think the Huda Beauty liquid lipsticks are much better than the Kylie Cosmetics ones!

Essie Treat Love & Color Nail Polish

I didn’t even know about this polish until recently, and now I’m totally obsessed.  I normally like to do gel polish, but having gel polish on your nails incessantly totally ruins them.  Essie stepped in to save the day! The Treat Love & Color line has nail repairing vitamins and technology to protect your nails and color them at the same time! I use this whenever I want to take a break from damage without taking a break from glamour! It comes in a variety of colors.

Under Eye Eyeshadow Patches

I had been seeing beauty bloggers using these for ages, but I always felt like they were kind of extra and not something I’d want to invest in.  But after a couple times of seeing people not only protecting their undereyes from getting blasted with eyeshadow residue (and then smudging) but also creating the perfect edge to their eyeshadow look, I knew I would have to try them.  And I’m never going back! This little things are so inexpensive and really help you create that perfect eyeshadow look.  I put them on before doing my makeup base, and complete my eyeshadow, liner, and mascara first.  Then I take them off and apply foundation, contour, powder, and highlight.  It’s amazing how much better my makeup looks, and how much longer it stays, when I do it this way!

That highlighter is so pretty! I need another highlighter like i need a hole in my head BUT I’ve been looking for more of a neutral/champagne color and this might be it!

I love gel polish too, but lately my nails are growing fast so in a week I can see the cuticle areas regrowth and I hate it… so I’ve been using clear and neutral Essie’s. I didn’t know they made that line with nail repairing vitamins. Thanks for info. I’ll have to check them out.
