Today is our second day of Gift Guides, and I’m so excited to be sharing all the gifts I’m loving for Kiddos! I wanted to be as comprehensive as possible, because there are obviously so many different age groups with different interests. When it comes to babies, I love focusing on gifting that is nostalgic, cozy, or developmentally engaging. It’s also nice to find something that parents wouldn’t think to get, like a special novelty gift. The Little Kids gift guide focuses on ages 2-5, while the Big Kid gift guide has items I love for a bit older kids. Overall, I tried to collect some unique items that you won’t see everywhere, and that kids will be so thrilled with at any age. I hope you love them as much as I do!
A Lovevery Playkit Subscription
New parents have so much to worry about, so gifting them something that will stimulate their babies developing brains and also take the guess work out of whether or not the toy is age appropriate is super important. Enter: Lovevery! Their Playkit Subscription can be gifted by individual box or a full set, and they’ll be sent directly to the parents at the appropriate age for the baby! It truly is the gift that keeps on giving.
Wool Animal Hat
Apart from being incredibly cute, this alpaca wool hat is a great gift for a newborn whose parents are known to do it for the ‘gram. Plus, it’ll keep that lil bae toasty warm all winter long!
Baby feet are always great appendages to center your gift giving around: baby socks are the #1 item to go missing in the laundry, so any type of sock/slipper/warmth trapper is welcomed by new parents. These UGG slippers are so soft and warm, and they will actually stay on the baby’s feet…something I cannot say the same about with socks.
Bunny Sorting Bus
Plan Toys x Pottery Barn Kids
This wooden sorting bus is a great gift for for babies that are able to sit up on their own and are ready to start learning problem solving skills.
Ecru Marl Deer Knitted Play Set
If you don’t want to risk buying a toy for a baby that another family member or friend may have already gifted them, then why not buy them something that every baby needs? In this case, I’m talking about a merino wool deer play set. DYING!
A Non-Toxic Ball Pit
Babies and toddlers LOVE ball pits, but most of the ones I’ve found at big-box stores are made with materials that are not ideal for children’s toys. When I found this non-toxic ball pit made from a mother-daughter run small business in Poland, I was so excited! They custom make them to your color specifications so you can design them to match your playroom or your kids room. They’re also the chicest looking ball pits I’ve ever seen!
My First Railway Beginner Pack
You cannot go wrong with a wooden train set as a gift for a baby. My kids are not babies anymore and they still play with theirs. This is a great starter option, and is pretty universal, so you can always buy more train pieces from other brands (IKEA, for one) and they’ll still be compatible with the pieces from this set.
Radio Flyer 4-in-1 Stroll 'N Trike
I polled a group of mom’s on their favorite toys for babies, and this one was mentioned over a dozen times. It’s versatile and will last the recipient years, which for kids is no small feat!
Garden Activity Cube
Don’t be misled…this is more than activity cube. It’s really an activity hexagon which means there’s 2 additional activities walls for kids to play with. It’s made from non-toxic materials as well, which is always a plus for me!
For Little Kids…
First Classic Waterproof Rainboot
Little kids LOVE puddles, so why not gift the little kid in your life a sturdy pair of waterproof rainboots to enjoy their favorite pastime? LOL
A Baghera Speedster
These race cars, made in Paris, France, are modeled after vintage cars, and are great for teaching little kids coordination while riding on top of them. This is a great gift for walkers who need a little help balancing.
Designed by an academic as a thesis project and crowd-funded via Kickstarter, Loog is now the top selling Childrens guitar. It features a 3-string neck to help young kids learn faster and it comes an accompanying app to help kids learn a few tunes at home! This is definitely on Major’s Christmas list!
The Bella Personalized Tea Set
Caroline & Co
This is the most precious gift for a little kid! It can be personalized with a first or second name, and could easily become an heirloom piece for generations.
Dizzy Skull Sweatshirt
Not many people know this, but Celine Dion has the greatest children’s clothing company of all time: Nununu. This skull sweatshirt is sooo cute and edgy, and also on-sale right now, which is amazing because this brand isn’t cheap!
Cameron Cozy Baby Doll
What kid doesn’t love a baby doll? Part of development for little kids is mimicking what they see and experience with their own parents, so baby dolls actually do serve a really important function. This is a great gift for a kid that’s becoming a big sibling. You’ll notice how much they learn from you without even realizing!
LEGO DUPLO Number Train
This is a great learning gift for a toddler who is working on their numbers.
Chelsea All-in-1 Kitchen
Pottery Barn Kids
This is the chicest play kitchen of all time. Marlowe and Major have one in their playroom, and it’s totally worth the investment, because it will probably last through Baby Martino’s childhood as well. All the knobs turn and the doors open, and I’d recommend it as a gift for a family that has limited space and maybe would need to place it in their living room, since it’s such a stunning little toy, it won’t be an eyesore at all.
Castle Dollhouse & Accessories
Pottery Barn Kids
This is a really well-built dollhouse that will last through multiple kids, and it’s gender neutral. My kids played with it at the store and were obsessed, so it’s on their Christmas list.
Plush Ride-On Unicorn
“Daddy, I want a pony!” No? This unicorn is even better, cuter, and doesn’t require a stable!
Hape 'Happy Grand' Toy Grand Piano
I can’t get over this piano! It’s so chic and classic and will elevate any playroom space. Plus, my kids have always loved toy pianos. I wish I had gotten this one for them back in the day.
Melissa & Doug
This is a real “WOW” gift! Wrap a bow around its neck and leave next to Christmas Tree for extra excitement!
The Little Feminist Book Set
This colorful book set is a great way to teach your kids about the impact that women have made on the world. It’s broken down into Pioneers, Artists, Leaders, and Activists, and is a great gift for any young child, girl or boy.
For Big Kids…
White Rainbow Rothy's
If you read my blog, you know how much I love my own Rothy’s, so it’s amazing that they now have them for kids! Having the ability to throw a pair of kids shoes in the washing machine is EVERYTHING!
Osmo Genius Starter Kit for iPad
Osmo makes hands-on learning games that your kids use real-world objects to interact with the digital world on their iPad. It’s a little like magic, except your kids are learning the entire time they’re using Osmo!
Harry Potter Invisibility Cloak
WOW! Stuff Collection
Speaking of ‘magic’…if you’re looking for a gift for a Harry Potter fan, look no further: This Invisibility Cloak comes with an app that will make your child disappear! Not literally, but it uses augmented reality to make it look like your child has disappeared on camera! It’s such a cool gift, even I’M jealous!
Hippogriff Tulle Skirt
This Hippogriff Tulle Skirt from Boden is so pretty, most people won’t even realize it’s a reference to Harry Potter…except the child you’re getting it for, of course!
Remote Control Retro Bumper Cars
What to get the big kid who has everything? How about a pair of retro remote control bumper cars?
The perfect gift for the unicorn-obsessed kid: Unicorn Headphones!
Gummy Candy Lab Unicorns
Thames & Kosmos
This scientific-cased candy-making kit is great for the big kid who loves candy. With this kit they’ll gain something in the process and not just a sugar high.
Teddy Bomber Jacket
Tucker + Tate
This teddy jacket is warm and cozy, and any kid would be happy to wear it all winter long.
Mini Terrarium Set
This terrarium set is a great gift for a big kid who like crafts. Not only will they get a fun craft to do, but they’ll also get to decorate their room with the finished product!
Paw Patrol Kids Headphones
These are such a must-have for air-travel with toddlers! They fit around your childs’ head like a headband, instead of traditional headphones. They make for a great stocking stuffer!
This is such a sweet little rattle as a stocking stuffer!
Moon Juice Sachet Sampler
This sampler of Moon Juice dusts is a great stocking stuffer for your friends who are big into their wellness game.
Personalized Cookie Stamp
Not only is this an amazing stocking stuffer, but the recipient can use it to make cookie gifts from the family next year. Love!

This is an easy sell. You’re welcome, America!
Custom Headband Set
Don’t tempt me with a good time!
These are such a sweet reminder that even in the depths of winter (at least the depths of Connecticut winter) spring is coming.
