I know this month is a month of detox for a lot of people.  But that doesn’t mean you can’t still hang– and sip on a little something extra delicious. Happily Eva After to the rescue! I also wanted to concoct a little treat for my preggo Homegirls out there.  (Cocktails were something I always craved during my pregnancies for some weird reason…and no I didn’t drink them.  LOL) Today I’m sharing the recipes for two very different, and very yummy, guilt and alcohol-free Mocktails!  Drink two or twenty– it aint no thang!P1030539

Spiced Grapefruit Fauxtini

  • 3 ounces fresh Grapefruit Juice
  • 1 Tablespoon Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 tiny pinch Nutmeg
  • 1 Tablespoon Orange Juice
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick (for garnish)

Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.  Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.  Strain in to a chilled Martini glass, and garnish with your cinnamon swizzle stick! Enjoy irresponsibly 😉

Juicy Julep

  • 1 oz. Pineapple Juice
  • 1 oz. Fresh Orange Juice
  • Juice of 1 Lime
  • 2 oz. Ginger Beer
  • 3 leaves Fresh Mint, diced (Plus 2 sprigs for garnish)

Pour the pineapple juice, orange juice, lime juice, and diced mint leaves in a cocktail shaker with ice.  Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Pour over a Julep Cup piled high with crushed ice.  Top with Ginger Beer, and garnish with mint sprigs.  Enjoy Irresponsibly 😉

Thank you for posting these! They both look delicious! I’m currently 25 weeks pregnant and I’ve been craving something a little more exciting than water. I think these two will hit the spot nicely. Thank you!

    • Hi Stephanie!
OMG I totally feel you– I craved cocktails SO much during both of my pregnancies. Especially with Marlowe, as I got towards the end everyone would tell me “Oh just have a glass of wine, who cares!” And I would say “Yeah, but I don’t want a glass of wine. I want FOUR MARTINIS.” LOL. So….yeah.

Haha. Have a great rest of your pregnancy and kick back with one of these yummy Mocktails!

These both sound delicious! I am pregnant with my second baby and while I am enjoying the same “mocktail” I drank the first time around (sparkling water, cranberry juice, splash of orange juice) I am going to change it up and try these! Thanks so much for sharing!

    Hello Eva,

Thanks for this neat posting. I will send the link to some dear women friends of mine.

I am not much of a beer person (not a very good flavor), I love the Mike’s Hard Cherry drinks (I am an 80’s kid, whatever happened to Bartles and James wine coolers?).

I have had women friends over the years, who love their cocktails (or a beer too!) but when you are pregnant, that a No No!

I am not a grapefruit person, but the pineapple drink, my taste buds are saying, like Jeff Spicoli in Fast Times At Ridgemont High “Hey lets Party!”

But also of course, its fun to “Learn about Cuba, while having some pizza!”

    Gotta love Spicoli!
