Eva Amurri Martino's daughter Marlowe celebrates her 4th birthday

I am now the mother of a four year old! Wow, did that happen quickly.  Marlowe’s birthday party is tomorrow, and I’ve been getting a ton of texts from friends and family asking what she’s in to these days ahead of birthday gift buying.  Marlowe has had extremely “unisex” interests in the past year, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to share some of my favorite gifts for girl and boy four year olds! Marlowe got the astronaut costume for her birthday and has worn it every day since– so safe to say it’s a hit.  LOL.  Just click on the collage below to shop!

Hi Eva! My daughter is turning 4 next month and would go nuts for the dress up box you gave Marlowe. Was it something you put together or it came like that?

    Thanks!

    • Hi Shari! I put it together! Actually, the astronaut costume above was one of the costumes in her box! You can find a lot on amazon as well

Hi Eva. I’m Stella, I’m a caregiver to a teenage girl with autism and other disabilities called Rita.
Now, she’s more into the movie Lorenzo’s Oil (she REALLY, REALLY LOVES it!), it’s helped her through a lot of rough times and helped her with speech/communication; she affectionately calls it “her” Lorenzo’s Oil. 😀
Anyway, when Rita was Marlowe’s age; she liked Blue’s Clues. She was nonverbal at the time so it was always hard for us to tell what she wanted. She got lots of Blue’s Clues toys and clothes for her 4th birthday. Now, Rita’s 17 (her birthday is March 3rd- same as Lorenzo’s Oil director, George Miller!) and we got her a magazine with Lorenzo’s Oil featured.

My gift suggestions for 4 year olds- lots of toys! 🙂

We hope Marlowe has a fun birthday party tomorrow! Sorry for my lengthy comment.
    Love,
    Stella ?

Hi Eva! Lowie’s party looked so fun! On your instagram story over the weekend you shared a toy that Marlowe and Major were fighting over that looked like a unicorn maybe? Would you mind sharing the details? It looks like something my soon-to-be 4 year old niece would love!

    • I wish I knew exactly what it was! I think it’s a my little pony maybe? We threw out the box and I’m not familiar with the character. I’m sorry I wish I could be more helpful!

Excellent choice of toys. A child is in preschool age when he reaches 4 year old and hence it is important to buy toys that introduce him to letters numbers and basic language skills. It is also good to include simple puzzles and educational toys that encourage brain development and learning.
