**Many thanks to Clorox for sending these amazing cleaning products and sponsoring this post!  As always, the thoughts and opinions expressed below are entirely my own.

I can’t say that I was ever a “spotless bathrooms” kind of gal in my young adulthood– I mean of course I wanted my bathrooms clean but I always focused on the spaces that people visited more. In fact, according to research conducted on behalf of Clorox 34% of Americans agree the bathroom is their least favorite place to clean, while places that are highly trafficked are the favorite places to clean – like the kitchen (28%) and living room (16%) A clean countertop, a tidied up living room, no stacks of mail or bills in the entry way.  But now as a Mom, I find super clean bathrooms oddly satisfying.  And since it’s spring, and time to deep clean our living spaces, I thought I would share the way I get that super satisfying deep clean in my bathrooms with Clorox!

Maybe it’s having a recently-potty trained toddler in our midst, and a second kid who just learned how to get off of all fours– we spend a lot of time in the bathroom during the day, and end each day splashing in our bath.  Now I take disinfecting our bathroom very seriously! I love all the Clorox products because they get the job done, and they totally scratch that oddly satisfying itch when I feel like I need to make the bathroom spotless.  I do the toilets, countertops, and even the bathtub and bath toys.  I love knowing that everything in our bathroom is sparkling clean and that there isn’t bacteria left behind that my son could roll around it.

Since Clorox is the Mothership of “clean”, they recently did research around spring cleaning and found that parents are more likely than non-parents to say cleaning activities are oddly satisfying because it makes them happy (39% vs. 29% of non-parents).  I guess I don’t feel so strange anymore! LOL.  There is something so incredible at looking at a sparkling room and just thinking to yourself that you made it all happen.  I’ve become sort of obsessed with it…but back to my bathrooms!

To begin, I do the toilets– they used to be my least favorite part of the whole house to clean, and now I looooove it! I think it’s partly due to the nifty Clorox ToiletWand® that I have actually been using for close to a decade.  It’s a wand with a stand that is filled with disposable cleaning heads.  You open the lid, push the wand on to one of the octagonal brush heads, and then dip it in the toilet bowl for a few seconds.  This activates the cleaning powers! Then you scrub the whole toilet as you would with a normal brush– except that you are using the foaming powers of Clorox.  When you’re done scrubbing, discard the brush head in the trash.  To disinfect the bowl, allow the solution to sit on the surface for fifteen minutes before flushing.  I also like to disinfect our Potty Ring (gross) with the Clorox Disinfecting Wipes with Ultra Strength Blue Fibers.  The fibers are so great at lifting out yucky stains and gunk.

Next, I tackle the rest of the surfaces and the sink. I spray Clorox Scentiva™ Disinfecting Foam Cleaner in the sink and on the outside of the toilet, and then while it works, I wipe all the surfaces with Clorox Disinfecting Wipes.  I love the Scentiva collection, because the scents are really refreshing and leave behind a nice aroma like Tuscan Lavender & Jasmine. After leaving the foam on for about ten minutes, I wipe it off with a paper towel.  Next, I do the bath tub! For this job, I love the Clorox Scentiva Disinfecting Foam Cleaner.  I spray it all over the tub, and allow it to work for about ten minutes before I rinse the tub.

My bathroom literally sparkles when I’m finished, and I love how clean and accomplished it feels! Truly my cleaning time feels strangely zen– it’s so nice to have a task and be able to tackle it with such precision– the Clorox products totally get the job done.

Do you find deep cleaning oddly satisfying? I’d love to hear in the Comments below!

Just sitting here avoiding every cleaning job on my list… and couldn’t believe the toilet wand stand! Just bought a set of 2 for my bathrooms! I’ve been using them for years and hated storing them… I’m inspired now to get scrubbing!

I know this was a sponsored post, but do you ever use any natural or homemade cleaning products? Just curious.
